Setup

  1. Place both hands on a stable elevated surface.
  2. Walk your feet back until your body forms a straight line.
  3. Brace your trunk before the first repetition.

How To Perform It

  1. Lower your chest toward the surface while keeping the body rigid.
  2. Keep elbows at a comfortable angle from the torso.
  3. Press the surface away and return to the start.

“Move your body as one unit - do not let the hips sag.”

Common Mistakes

  • Surface too unstable.
  • Hips dropping or piking.
  • Head reaching forward instead of the chest lowering.

Alternatives / Substitutions

Safety Note

Use a higher surface to make the exercise easier; confirm the surface cannot move.
